This blog, Merced Politics and Television, is at a crossroads. Despite some exposure during October/November’s election madness, we’ve grown bored with the local political scene and need some excitement.
Uncertain of our future, we now turn to you, our readers, to tell us what to do. We’ve created a poll so you can determine the future of this blog. The votes will be tallied on Friday, Jan. 18, and after that date, Merced Politics and TV will either fold or return with a VENGEANCE.
There are two questions:
Should Merced Politics and TV continue to exist?
and
If yes, what should Merced Politics and TV focus on? (write-in are acceptable and binding if victorious).
Thank you!

Well this should help. I have filed charges with the California Attorney General’s office for the Merced PD NOT adhering to the Victims rights law. Tonight they again ignored the law, knocked on my door yet again identifying me even though the law requires that they do not identify the victim in any way. This is after a complaint has already been filed against them! I am both physically and mentally disabled as is the neighbor on the other side (disabled) and both our rights have been repeatedlly violated. I have tried to get the local news abc, fox & cbs to do something and no response back from them, even though the police were on camera multiple times back when officer Gorman was shot, promising the citizens of Merced that they would fight for us with these problem residents! And despite their promise, they didn’t return phone calls for over 45 days, message after message left by myself, neighbor and landlord. When I did force the issue they tried claiming that they couldn’t release the police reports, despite the records act requiring them to release those records to the victim or authorized agent of the victim. I have no choice but to sue the city of Merced and the Police Dept!!!

and now the guy is retaliating because again the police do not do the job anywhere close to right. Banging on the walls. I have had my windshield & mirror smashed, tires slashed and physical threats made over the months and all it take for this guy to defeat the police is not bother to answer the door. The keystone cops could pop out of the movie screen and look more professional.

my email just sent to the city of merced

ATTENTION CITY OF MERCED CALIFORNIA
I am sick of this police dept ignoring the victims rights laws! By what right did the officer last night have to knock on my door, identifying me yet again in complete disregard to my rights under victim law not to be identified or retaliated against. And then your moron officer, demanding I come out and cooperate with him reaches for his weapon because I am furious? I have notified this dept time and again that I have mental disablities! You are not protecting us, they are protecting their own asses first, us not at all. You went on camera when officer Gorman got shot, promising to help us and yet Lt McEntire didn’t return multiple messages for 45 days, gave us a runaround on releasing the reports and then this.
You officer had NO RIGHT TO IDENTIFY ME, TO DEMAND THAT I COME OUT AND MAKE A COMPLAINT. I MADE IT CLEAR TO THE MANAGERS OFFICE AND TO COMMANDER ANDRE THAT I WAS NOT TO BE CONTACTED AGAIN BY THE POLICE.
I HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO SUE

I’ll tell you what, I am SICK of the corruption in this town. Yesterday they held a hearing for this problem one and NOT the Police or District Attorney notified us of the hearing so that we could be there to testify!!!! What are we supposed to be psychic???
It really makes me wonder what is going on, they are ignoring the victims rights laws completely as if they feel they do not have to obey State laws!
