Now comes the jockeying for Mayor Pro-Tem. Please don’t tell me that arrogant little know-it-all with no personality Carlisle is going to expect Mayor Pro-Tem as top vote getter in the election. I can see him presiding over a meeting with sarcasm, condescension, and a holier than thou attitude. But wait, he will have to check with the gallery and see whether Jerry Martin (union brother) gives him permission to fart before moving forward. And representing the citizens as the face of Merced at events! That will be hilarious. I can hear it now. “Here’s your certificate but I doubt that you deserved it cause I didn’t know about it first.” or “I’m giving you a certificate but your organization is a pile of trash so don’t think it means anything.” or the best, “Here’s a certificate. It’s worth about 50 cents and it’s a waste of taxpayer’s money to spend so frivolously on recognizing you lousy business people for your volunteerism when if it’s not union, it’s not sh*t.”

Oh, wonderful. We have a personality-free John Carlisle going to be on the city council. You talk about corruption with Osorio. HAH! Carlisle will feed info to his cronies at the union about every deal on the table and get their okay to vote on anything that comes up. Just watch. Now that the election is over, his tone has already changed on Walmart. What a liar! Don’t give me that his personality is restrained cause he’s former law enforcement crap. I know many cops that are wonderful, funny, outgoing, warm, kind, and caring human beings that know how to relate to the public and listen to the concerns of the people they help. Being in law enforcement doesn’t make you a jerk. But some jerks got into law enforcement just like some jerks got into real estate, banking, and other areas. Carlisle and his ungracious comments do not portend well for the city of Merced.
